Civil engineering: Various types of pipes from civil engineering can already be taken back and recycled.
✓ Cut-offs and stock residues
✓ Pipes and pipe parts from dismantling
The recommendations for collection and recycling vary depending on the sector:
Building construction (plumbing companies, electricians, other sectors): Today, only pure, unfilled PE waste water pipes (sections and storage residues, pipes and pipe parts from dismantling) can be taken back and recycled from building construction. In the case of pipes from dismantling, care must be taken to ensure clean collection (no foreign pipes). Pipes with an aluminum barrier layer, PEX pipes and PE-Silent pipes may not be placed in the collection.
Common packaging materials can also be disposed of:
Please note that the logistics of recycling waste can be very costly. Waste must therefore be of sufficient quantity and quality to make recycling worthwhile.
At present, collection at construction sites is not recommended due to the wide variety of materials. Only PE sewage pipes can be selectively dismantled and recycled.
